NHS Consultant Appointment

Mrs Sarah Hussain was appointed Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at Whipps Cross University Hospital in 1995. Her practice encompasses all aspects of obstetrics and gynaecology with a particular interest in urogynaecology, pelvic floor reconstructive surgery & minimal access gynaecological surgery, thus minimising length of patient stay in hospital. She also performs outpatient hysteroscopy. She runs a weekly NHS one stop clinic for women suffering from menstrual disorders and post menopausal bleeding.

She is involved in teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate students for Obstetrics & Gynaecology. She examines for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist. Mrs Hussain has since 2008 been awarded Associate Clinical Professor from St Matthew's University School of Medicine.
At present she is the lead for clinical governance for Women's Health Directorate at Whipp's Cross University Hospital.
